Metacore

Metacore is a data-driven framework for building dynamic web applications quickly, without rebuilding the same scaffolding every single time. It is built on FastAPI and PostgreSQL, and it is the engine room beneath several of my more serious apps, including a full volunteer coordination module.

Magrathea, the legendary planet-building factory floor

On the legendary planet of Magrathea, they built bespoke luxury planets to order, fjords and all. Metacore is the same idea in miniature and considerably less expensive: a well-tooled factory floor for spinning up data-driven apps that are genuinely useful rather than merely shiny.

What it does

  • Models your data once, then drives the app from that model.
  • Role-based access, so the right people see the right things.
  • Clean APIs, sensible migrations, and outputs you can actually export.
  • Built to deploy on AWS, behind the usual respectable plumbing.

Try it

Where the rest of froodx.net is a calm, mostly static guidebook, Metacore is the dynamic, database-backed half of the workshop. It is the part that gets up early and does the heavy lifting while the Guide sits about being charming.
